This 1-kilometer NOAA-14 High Resolution Picture Transmission (HRPT) image shows the aftermath of the lake effect snow event of early November 1996. The shores of Lake Erie are covered in several feet of snow. Snow is also visible on the eastern shore of Lake Huron.
