This is the same image of Fran as "HRPT - Hurricane Fran #2", but at a lower resolution. This image is a 4-kilometer NOAA-12 Global Area Coverage (GAC) image. Note the curved line just north of Fran. This is a data drop out (data that has been corrupted or lost in transmission), which happens occasionally.
