The following list contains amendments to the November 1998 edition of the NOAA Polar Orbiter Data User's Guide. This website contains the latest information available and supercedes any earlier hardcopy or CD-ROM version of this document. The list, which is ordered chronologically by change date to the website, contains the location in the document where changes have been made. The locations of the changes are represented by links to the place in the document where the change occurred. In the document itself, a change is indicated by "Amended DATE" at the end of the section which has the change. If a user clicks on the "Amended DATE," he will be linked back to this Amendment page.

December 3, 1998

Section 2.0, Tables 2.0.4-1 and 2.0.4-2. Y2K compliance required changes to Dataset Header Record for both TOVS and AVHRR data. Bytes 39-40 now contain 4-digit years.

Section 3.0.1, Paragraph 8. Add to last sentence: "by starting with the third sample along the scan line, averaging the next four samples, and skipping the next sample. The sequence of average four, skip one is continued to the end of the scan line."
